Cheap hotels in London and my short stay

May 15th, 2009

I have been a business associate for 10 years to one of my suppliers and he
invited me to London. I have been in Holland and France already to complete transactions. I have read a lot about London in books and have heard a lot about it. I wanted to verify all that I have read and heard. My two reservations I made helped me to get a lot from the City. I booked one hotel in Russell Square and my second week was in London Victoria.

The journey from the Airport was a long one. I took a taxi after I have come
out of the immigration checks. You will find a lot of very good hotels in Russell Square. I was so impressed with the area and the Tavistock hotel Russell square on my first day. I grabbed my map and started my London tour to see for real what I have read about. London was exactly as I have read in books. My tour started when I decided to explore Russell Square first. I visited the British Museum and the British Library. It was not surprising when I arrived at Covent Garden from the British Museum because I saw the Street performers in the area just as I have read about.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. During my exploration of the west End, I went to Marble Arch and also Oxford Circus. The London area with the highest concentration of Theatres is Leicester Square. I counted a lot of them when i visited the place. Just as I have read about Piccadilly Circus, there were a lot of tourists when I went there; it was a very busy area. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The entire shopping streets in the West End were densely populated just as I have read about. The China Town and the Soho were just off the Oxford Street so I took the opportunity to visit the area.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. Victoria area was a place I wanted to be because of the Landmarks in the area. As like any other tourist in Victoria, my first visit was to the Buckingham Palace where I went to see the changing of the Guard and was quite impressed. I would be forgiven for being anxious to visit the Big Ben because I have seen pictures of it and read about it in my school days. In the same location as the Big Ben, stood the Houses of Parliament. I took the chance to be at the Westminster Abbey. Finally, I went to have a look at the London Eye. It is more magnificent than I can describe. I think tourists will always like the London eye because it is well constructed. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good hotels accommodation standard and also some good London bed and breakfast at ower rates.
